Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Tovan (the app at app.gettovan.com and this website). By using Tovan you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Tovan is an income and expense tracking service for businesses. We provide the tools; the data you enter, and decisions you make based on it, are yours. Tovan is not an accounting, tax, or legal advisory service.
2. Your account
- You sign in with your mobile number via OTP. Keep your device and number secure; activity under your sign-in is your responsibility.
- You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old.
3. Businesses, trials, and subscriptions
- Each new account may create up to 2 trial businesses, each with a 90-day free trial.
- After the trial, continued use of a business requires a paid yearly subscription per business (current prices at Pricing).
- Each paid business includes the stated document storage; additional storage can be purchased.
- Early renewals extend your subscription from its current expiry date — remaining time is never lost.
- Prices may change; changes apply from your next renewal, never retroactively.
4. Team members
You may invite team members to a business. You are responsible for who you invite and for the access you grant them. Team members' use of Tovan is also subject to these Terms.
5. Your data
You own your business data. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service (storing, backing up, syncing, and displaying your data to you and your invited team members). See the Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to breach security, accessing other tenants' data, uploading unlawful content, reselling the service, or interfering with its operation. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
7. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Razorpay. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.
8. Availability
We work to keep Tovan available and your data safe (including daily backups), but the service is provided "as is" without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Offline features reduce the impact of connectivity problems.
9. Termination
You may stop using Tovan and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these Terms, with notice where practicable.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made based on data in the app.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at the company's registered location in India have exclusive jurisdiction.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by notification. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
