These Terms govern your use of Tovan (the app at app.gettovan.com and this website). By using Tovan you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Tovan, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. Account & OTP security

You sign in using your mobile number and a one-time password (OTP). You're responsible for keeping your phone and OTP secure — anything that happens under your sign-in is your responsibility. If you think your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us right away.

3. Business use & workers

Tovan is meant for lawful business record-keeping. If you invite team members to a business, you (the business owner) are responsible for who you invite and for what they do with the access you grant them. Team members must also follow these Terms.

4. Your data

The entries you record in Tovan — income, expenses, categories, notes, and documents — are yours. Tovan stores and syncs this data so you can access it across your devices and share it with your invited team members. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle your data.

5. Subscription, trial & payments

Tovan offers trial periods and subscription plans. Subscription plans, trial periods, and billing terms are as shown in the app at the time you use it — check Settings → Subscription for your current status. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider; prices may change, and any change applies from your next renewal, not retroactively.

6. Acceptable use

Tovan is for lawful business record-keeping only. You agree not to misuse the service — including trying to access other businesses' data without authorization, uploading unlawful content, or attempting to disrupt or interfere with the app.

7. Service availability & offline sync

We work to keep Tovan available, but the service is provided on a best-effort basis without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Tovan works offline — entries you make without a connection are stored on your device and sync automatically once you're back online.

8. Not tax/accounting advice

Tovan is a record-keeping tool to help you track income and expenses. It is not a substitute for professional accounting, tax, or legal advice. Please consult a qualified professional for those matters.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of Tovan, or for business decisions you make based on data in the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to a reasonable amount as determined under applicable law.

10. Termination / closing your account

You can close your account at any time from Settings → Close account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly violate these Terms, with notice where practicable.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Surat have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll let you know about material changes in the app or by notification. Continuing to use Tovan after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
