Delete your account

You can delete your Tovan account and all associated data at any time. Deletion is permanent.

What gets deleted

  • Your account (mobile number and profile)
  • All businesses you own, including every income/expense entry, report, and uploaded document
  • Your membership in businesses owned by others (their business data remains theirs)
  • Your subscription records (payment records may be retained where required by law — see below)

How to delete your account

From the app

  1. Sign in at app.gettovan.com
  2. Open Settings → Account
  3. Choose Delete account and confirm

By email

If you can't access the app, email support@gettovan.com from a reachable contact, including the mobile number on the account. We verify ownership before deleting.

Timeline

  • Deletion requests are processed within 7 days
  • Encrypted backups are purged on a rolling schedule within 35 days after deletion

What we may retain

We may retain minimal records where the law requires it — for example payment/tax records of subscription transactions — for the legally mandated period. These are not used for any other purpose.

Before you delete

  • Export your reports first if you need your records — deletion cannot be undone
  • If you only want to stop paying, you can simply let your subscription expire instead; your data stays until you delete it
