Troubleshooting common problems

I didn't receive the OTP
- Wait up to a minute — SMS can be slow
- Check the number you entered is correct
- Try requesting the OTP again
- Make sure your phone has signal and isn't blocking unknown senders
My offline entries aren't syncing
- Check you actually have internet (try opening any website)
- Keep the app open for a moment — sync starts automatically when a connection is detected
- Make sure you're signed in; if you signed out, sign in again with the same number
The app feels outdated or looks broken
Tovan updates itself automatically, but a stale cached version can linger:
- Close the app or browser tab completely
- Open it again — the newest version loads
- If it persists, reinstall from app.gettovan.com (your data is safe on the server; nothing is lost by reinstalling)
I can't see a business
- Confirm you signed in with the same mobile number that owns or was invited to the business
- If a team member removed you, the business no longer appears — ask the owner
A payment failed or was deducted without activating
Payment confirmations can take a few minutes. If your subscription isn't active after 15 minutes, contact us with the payment reference — see also the Refund Policy.
My storage is full
Delete old attachments you no longer need, or add +5 GB from the subscription screen (see Pricing).
